Does Intake Of Adderall Alter The Results Of EKG Test?

I take 20 mg of Adderall per day. I had an ekg taken. The results said my heart was normal but they couldn t rule out that I hadn t had a heart attack in the past. I ve never had a heart attack nor any heart problems ever. Could the Adderall have caused the unusual ekg? All previous ekg s have been normal.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Adderal does not alter the ECG wave. You can repeat the ECG to check whether the abnormal wave is persisting or not. An echo test may be required to check the pumping action of heart.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family physician
