Is Adderall Right Medication For Right Axis Deviation Shown In EKG?
Hi- My 18 year old had a baseline EKG prior to starting Adderall. It showed a right axis deviation and was determined to be normal by the doctor prescribing the Adderall- he said to start the medication after seeing the report. I read that a right axis deviation can also be caused by right ventricular hypertrophy. She had a PE within the past year, normal, and has not been symptomatic for a heart problem. Is it safe to assume that the EKG finding is normal for her age, and have her start the Adderall, or should she have an echocardiogram in addition to the EKG?

In my opinion, you should have to go for the 2D Echo, and if there is any problem detected treatment should start. Continue your Adderall drug as same as you are taking.
