Does Intake Of ACE Inhibitors Cause Damage To Liver And Kidney?

My Doctor took me off of my Blood Pressure Medicine (Cardura) 4mg because he said I no longer need it. I have lost weight, and exercise regularly, and my BP is about 120/80. However, my creatinine level is 4.3, and he told me that he may start me on an ACEI, if i need it. I heard that these ACEI s can damage your liver and kidneys, and do not feel comfortable with this. Any suggestions. My Blood pressure has been very good even without the medicine.

Hello and welcome to Healthcamagic.
If there us a good control of blood pressure then there is no need for medications if you ask me. Ace inhibitors may affect liver and kidneys.but this usually minor effect and should not cause significant problems.
I hope I have answered your query. I wish you a nice day.
