Does High BP During The Ninth Month Of Pregnancy Interferes With Normal Birth?
hai! suddenly when i went for check out of my bp,it was found to be 130/100 and this is the start of nineth month of my pregnancy and i was provided withsome drugs and still i m anxious about my bp will it affect my delivery in any case? orelse how can take steps to control it?.
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. High blood pressure in the third trimester of pregnancy is due to hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. It needs to be effectively treated as uncontrolled blood pressure can lead to seizures, HELLP syndrome in which there is liver derangement and platelet disorder and sudden separation of placenta( abruptio placenta) which can lead to sudden intrauterine death. I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist and be in close follow up and get your blood pressure monitoring done, as you may need urgent delivery in case of uncontrolled blood pressure. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Regards, Dr Deepti verma
