Does High BP Cause Early Delivery?

Hello, My wife is 36 weeks pregnant and due date is Oct 2nd week. She has high BP

in the recent checkup 2 days back. Her BP was normal till a month back (when last

BP check was done). Now it is 150/90. She has started taking Labebet100 from

yesterday (3 times a day). The baby is currently weighing 3.2kg. Is there a risk for

mother/baby due to this high BP? She got headache and fever 2 days back and it

is now under control.

Also, is there a chance of delivery before 40wk due to high BP?

Hi,
High blood pressure during pregnancy can cause complications in delivery. She can be pre term, hemorrhage, fetal distress possible, seizures etc. The bp should be controlled asap. Labebet is a good drug. But she needs to have the bp measured daily. As long as the bp in normal, it should be ok.
