Does High ASO Levels Cause Any Side Effects?

Hello , I am 27 years MY ASO LEVELS REACHED 960 but I still wasn t feeling any kind of effects , I got my tonsils removed after 3 months it only dropped to 840 so I am undergoing a treatment now OSPEN which contains penicillin , the doctor said this treatment should speed the process but in some cases for the ASO levels to drop below 200 will take time - Is it true ? - Is it normal not to feel any side effects from high ASO levels ?

ASO levels are indicative of antibody titres in your blood and are not known to cause symptoms by themselves.
The decision to remove the tonsils was based on the high titres so as not to make the potential for complications worse. It does not really matter if your titres remain high as long as you do not suffer from future throat infections in the form of pharyngitis.
Good oral hygiene and avoidance of chilled drinks would help avoid infections.
A pneumococcal vaccine would help to reduce the chances of a future strep throat and lead to a fall in titres after many years.
