Does Gonorrhoea Cause Itching In The Body And Joint Ache?
I was recently diagnosed with gonorrhea; however, the symptoms of that STD aren t what lead me to the doctor, it was a blister in my genital area (possibly herpes). After being diagnosed, I started to experience mild itching all over my body as well as minor aches and pains in my joints. It s rather strange as I ve never felt that way before. Could this be symptoms of the disease or symptoms of anxiety because I was really worried and depressed by the news.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Gonorrhoea can cause pain in joints &itching &discharge at the genital area is seen. But itching all over the body is uncommon unobserved.
It could be allergic to medicine (if accompanied by a rash) Or psychological due to stress & anxiety.
Visit treating doctor to get a specific solution after proper diagnosis with the careful local examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
