Does Food Poisoning Cause Elevated Liver Enzymes?

My name is Mitchell. I was recently hospitalized for food poisoning and three weeks later had general blood work done alone with testing for std’s and everything came back okay except for my liver enzymes. My AST and ALT levels were very high. I was wondering if that could be due to the food poisoning

Common causes of mild increases in AST and ALT levels include
- non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
-hepatitis C,
- alcoholic fatty liver disease,
- medication effect .
-Food poisoning is not a cause.
