Does Fever Associated With Headache Indicate Viral Flu?

I have fever and headache since 4 days. I am Male/22. There has been a change in the weather in my city (rains started 5 days ago). I am taking combiflam 1 tab a day. The fever comes down but then it goes up again, leading to shivering. My urine color was very dark until yesterday but I upped my fluid intake a lot and the color is lighter now. I am trying ot have lots of water, juices and gatorade for energy. My appetite has suffered a lot. I dont have any pain in the body (Except headache) but my head just feels very light (dizzy). I got my BP checked yesterday and it was 99/66. There are no mosquitoes in my area, no burning urinary sensation and my stools also seem fine but very less because of my limited diet .Could this be viral flu? Please advice me what should I do?

Fever could be associated with headache ... upto 4 days of fever one just takes simple medications, however, need to be on gaurd for malaria, fever with chills and rigors. So at day 5 now u need to get the blood counts done along with the platelets to help diagnosis of dengue, also urine for pus cells/bile salts pigments as jaundice has to be diagnosed. If fever is still there u need to meet up with a Family doctor with the above tests.

Hi
Welcome to Health care magic.

I went through the history you have provided here. It seems from the history that you are having headache associated with fever.
The common causes for this condition are infections including viral, bacterial or parasitic.
The treatment depends on the underlying cause. Viral fever is usually treated by symptomatic treatment.

Do consult your doctor for examination and prescription of drugs.

Hope this is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you for writing to us.
