Does Excess Running Lead To Pain And Bruise At The Lower Back?

I m a runner and recently my lower back has had a sore feeling to it. I checked it our today after a weeks of it hurting and there ws five small bruises along my spine. Could this effect my running? SHould I get it checked out or see where it goes this week?
