Does Diabetes To Husband Causes Problems In Getting A Normal Baby?

Hello doctor I m 34 yrs and my husband is38 yrs v have 1 boy child 7 yrs and want conceive for second but my husband has type 2 diabetes will I b able to have a normal baby or what test he should under go to see whether v have normal baby because doctor told v might have abnormal baby

I can understand your concern.
In my opinion a father having type 2 diabetes does not increase the chances of having an abnormal baby. But if mother has type 2 diabetes or gestational diabetes then it increases the chances of having a baby with congenital anomalies.
So you need not worry.
