Does Cellulitis Worsen During Airplane Travel?

Hi My husband has spent 48 hours in hospital with cellulitis of The arm. He had iv antibiotics and is now on oral antibiotics. We were supposed to be flying to our holiday in 5 days but realise this is a bit too close. Would it be safe to fly in 12 days

General Surgeon 's  Response
Yes, most probably the cellulitis of your husband's arm would completely resolve in another 12 days. He should rest his affected arm as much as is possible. This will hasten recovery. Also it would be good to keep the arm in a sling to prevent edema formation, which again may delay resolution of the inflammation.
