Does Body Produce Some Lubricant For Easy Bowel Movements?

I was having the runs and then I went back to the toilet to excrete some more. But all that came out was a small amount of clear liquid. My curiosity got the better of me. I sniffed it and there was no smell. I touched it and it was elastic like sperm. Is this a lubricant that the body always produces for easier bowel movements or is there a serious physical problem? (No need to joke about the serious mental problem. I m well aware.) : )

You are correct, the lining of the intestines can secrete a substance in response to irritation. Likely the diarrhea caused irritation in the lining of the intestines, and the intestines secreted the substance. If the diarrhea continues or there is any associated blood in stool, fever or abdominal pain, seek medical attention.
