Does Blood Pressure Medication Cause Increased Appetite?

Can a blood pressure medicine such as linsinopril or losartin increase appetitie? Second question. Is a plant based vegan diet healthy for a 60 year old female. I have done it six months and feel fine but no weight loss. Perhaps more plants less carbs? YYYY@YYYY

Hello, i have just through your query.
As for your question whether Lisinopril or Losartan cause an increase in appetite ,the answer is no they do not an increase in appetite.

Any diet which suits you and works for you is fine as long as it contains the daily recommended percentages of Fats ,carbohydrates and protein as these are also very important for the normal well being of your body and cutting down on any of them will only cause nutritional deficiencies and put your body in starvation mode in which the body starts storing whatever energy it gets from whatever you are eating.
So i recommend carbohydrate should constitute 45%,proteins-25% and fats -30% of your daily dietary intake.
Try incorporating moderate walks of 30-45 minutes daily.
I do not know what is your BMI or else i would have suggested your ideal body weight at your age.
Hope that helps resolve your concern. Good Luck.
