Does Applying Pimafucort On The Penis Cause Inflammation And Pain?

hi i was prescribed pimafucort cream to be applied on the skin around the penis due to inflamation in doing so for around 10 days my penis is all red and pain when i touch it or try to claen it. Is this an alleergic reaction. should i stop using the cream please advise

Hello,

It contains steroids like hydrocortisone as well as antibiotics like Neomycin and Natamycin. Long-term use of corticosteroids is known to cause skin thinning and dermatitis.

So the possibility is the redness around the penis is only because of dermatitis caused by the use of the Pimafucort drug. Stop the medication and consult a dermatologist. Till then, take Ibuprofen and levocetirizine tablets 12 hourly.
