Does An External Iliac Artery Stent Deployment Take Long To Heal?

Three days ago I had a stent put in my external iliac artery (right leg). I was given no information about after care or exercise, or how long my recovery might take. I have been gently walking short distances maybe 200 meters or so. I also have to walk up one flight of stairs where I live. So far I see no improvement compared to before the procedure. Has the stenting been a failure, how long should recovery take.

Hello,

* Healing phase of iliac stent does not take a long period as there is 3 days period, its already in healing phase.

* So far as walking and other activities are concerned, you should seek advise from your consultant only.

Hope I have answered your query.
