Does A Cut On The Scalp Need Stitches?

HI MY 18YR OLD HIT HIS HEAD ON A METAL PART OF A DOOR EARLIER TODAY AT WORK AND HAS A CUT ON HIS SCALP WHICH WAS BLEEDING ALOT EARLIER BUT IS SLIGHTLY BLEEDING NOW. I M HAVING HIM ICE IT AND HE DOES NOT FEEL DIZZY, FAINT OR BLURRED VISION. SHOULD HE GET STITCHES OR WILL IT MAKE A SCAB ON ITS OWN

As you explain the situation he should go to the hospital.The wound should be cleaned and control for foreign bodies in it and than should be wiped.
