What Causes Lump Beside The Surgical Sutures On The Scalp?

I recently had stitches around my hairline in my scalp for plastic surgery. The stitches were taking out and it has been several weeks now; however there is a small bump in the skin next to where the stitches were. It doesn t hurt and isn t red. I m not sure what it is. Please advise. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If it doesn't hurt and is not red it can't be infected. I think it can be fibrotic tissue because of the surgery and it is not likely to go away and possibly it will remain the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
