Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It is not serious. It may be a contact allergic dermatitis. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. I would recommend a short and tapering course of oral steroid. If itching is there, give her antihistaminics like cetirizine. Apply mild steroid cream. Change of helmet of different material may be required to avoid relapse.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
