Does A Clitoris Injury Causing Bleeding Need Medical Attention?
I was messing around with my friend today and things got too out of hand and he head butted me in the clitoris. It was unintentional for him to hit me there but it still happened. None the less I was in quite a bit of pain and when I went to go to the bathroom later I realized that the left side of my clitoris was bleeding. Is there need to be heavily concerned over this like needing to see a gynecologist or should I let me body try to repair itself on it s own?
I can understand your concern. Even a minor injury in the pelvic area bleeds a lot due to presence of many blood vessels in that area.
You should apply pressure to the bleeding area with sterile cotton pad or gauze pad. After the bleeding stops, you can apply cold compresses to the area to prevent swelling. You can take Acetaminophen 500 mg or Ibuprofen 400 mg for the pain.
If the pain or discomfort are bearable, you can let it heal on itself in a few days. Just take care to keep the area clean to prevent infections. However, if you feel worsening of pain, swelling or bleeding, you should visit a gynecologist for physical examination.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Take care.
