Does A Cortisone Shot In The Hip Cause Disfiguration Of The Foot?

My left foot has changed from heel-to-toe to rolling outside-to-inside. I was given a cortisone shot in the left hip for bursitis and the doctor hit a nerve which caused me to become completely disabled for a time, then gradually better. Did that cause this foot problem? Or is this the symptom of a stroke? Or both?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If the nerve was hit when doctor perform the shot, then, all you are experiencing is nerve trauma from that accidental hit. It's great it is getting better. I do not think it is a stroke, but nerve trauma/damage is difficult to resolve, and requires time. So, be patient, and follow your doctor's advice.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
