Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned your problem is not due to cortisone so to confirm it do like this -

1)Do a physical examination by your Doctor and do an [endoscopy] and it will confirm the exact cause.

2)Discuss with your Doctor about [pantoprazole] and [Baclofen]

You can take few preventive steps like this -

1)Try to avoid eating excessive amounts of foods that you know worsen your symptoms like alcohol, caffeine, chocolate and mint-flavored foods.

2)Use good pill-taking habits. Always take a pill with plenty of water. Don't lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking a pill.

3)Try to lose weight. Talk to your doctor about an appropriate diet and exercise routine to help you lose weight and maintain a healthy weight.

4)Try to avoid smoking if possible

5)Try to avoid certain medications. Avoid some pain relievers and antibiotics, as well as some other medications, if you a heart patient.

6)Try to avoid stooping or bending, especially soon after eating.

7)Avoid lying down after eating. Wait at least three hours after eating to lie down or go to bed.

8)Raise the head of your bed. Place wooden blocks under your bed to elevate your head. Aim for an elevation of 6 inches.

Hope that helps
