Does Steron Cause Delayed Periods?

Please write your question here I saw my period on 22nd August then after one day I took Steron to stop my periods for 3 days...later 28 Same Month the Periods Came Back Normal for one week.....now my problem is have not Received my MPs up to now,have done home taste pregnancy and am not Pregnant..... will it be the effects of Steron....am Confused

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned your problem is not due to the side effect of medication and it is also not due to pregnancy because test report is -VE as mentioned by you, so in my opinion I may say that it might be due to hormonal imbalance due to some pathological causes so to make an accurate diagnosis do following investigations like -
1)Ultrasound examination,
2)Complete blood count with differential,
3)fasting blood sugar and TSH

If every test report is normal then talk with your treating Doctor to prescribe you [medroxyprogesterone-10mg]for 5 days to start your periods and you have to repeat it for next 2 cycles.
