Does Simvastatin Cause Itching On The Scalp?

I have a severely itchy scalp--no sign of rash or dandruff. I ve stopped using all rinses and mousses and use a zinc shampoo. I have had this before and it has abated each time I stopped simvastatin. Could this statin drug actually be causing this condition?

Hi,

I can be an allergic reaction to Simvastatin. I would suggest to stop the medication and take antihistamines daily.You should consult your doctor about an alternative medication.
