Dr. Hanif warmly welcomes you with thanks for a consult!

I have carefully worked through your case, and can well realize your health worries. Being your physician, I want to assure, I will take care all of your medical concerns according to the latest medical guidelines.

These are estrogen/progestin Contraceptive pills and both of them have a long profile of side effects. Yes both the drugs you mentioned, cause arterial thromboembolism (the vascular disease) that leads to stroke or may even cause the heart attacks.

Other side effects worth mentioning are:
Cerebral hemorrhage and Cerebral thrombosis (brain vessels clog and may lead to paralysis).
Mood disturbances.
Liver and gallbladder diseases that may even lead to malignant neoplasms.
Thrombophlebitis and Pulmonary (lung) embolism are other diseases related to the arterial clogging disease caused by these drugs.

But not all the patients get these diseases. People can even die by just taking Aspirin. Yes... every medicine has its own profile of side effects. It is your physician who is treating you who prescribes you according to your health. If no risk factors for artery diseases (arteriosclerosis), heart disease (Coronary artery disease), you may take Rigevidon as prescribed.
