Does Prostinor Affect Pregnancy Test Results?

Hello. I had unprotected sex during what may have been ovulation time and took prostinor within 12 hours. After only spotting a tiny bit of blood just before my period date, I am not 2 weeks late from having an actual period. I have taken two at-home pregnancy tests: the first was positive, and took one immediately after which was negative. Does Prostinor affect pregnancy test results? I do have an appointment scheduled with my doctor soon but am worried.

Hi,
Postinor is an emergency contraceptive having Progesteron( a hormone affecting menstrual cycle)
Pregnancy test detects Human chorionic gonadotrophin secreted by primitive placenta & thus confirms pregnancy.
* Naturally Postinor is not likely to affect result of pregnancy test. You have taken it within 12 hours of sex,It can cause delayed period because of it's high hormone content.
* False +ve home pregnancy test is possible with contaminated urine sample/contaminated container of urine.Confirmation will be by blood HCG testing if you are very much worried.
