Does Primolut N Affect The Chances Of Pregnancy?

i am 45years of age, my last period was on September 26, 2017, I did home pregnancy test on 1/10/17 which was negative and my doctor recommended PrimolutN , 5mg 3times daily for 10days. I have been trying to conceive and last month I took Clomid 100mg for 5days. Could I be pregnant? and what effect will the PrimolutN have on me? Thank you.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Home pregnancy test of urine gives reliable results after 8 days of expected DATE of pregnancy. You had done it earlier&so results would not be considered confirmed. Primolut N taken in pregnancy(which is possible after Clomid 100mg.) can be harmful to the fetus. Can cause congenital malformations in foetus. Such drug needs to be taken after pregnancy is excluded. Why doing pregnancy test at proper time.
