Does Placentrex Help Treat PID?

Hi I was diagnosed with mild to moderate PID. I was given medications like Placentrex injection for 14 days and R Cinex tablet for four months. My endometric biopsy does not show any issues. One of the fallopian tubes is blocked with pus. Does the above medication helps in clearing the block ? Please clarify. Thanks

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Placentrix is helpful when proper healing is required. Use of appropriate antibiotic therapy in conjunction is effective. Since your fallopian tube has infection, it needs to be treated. Culture and sensitivity helps to select the proper antibiotic needed. Placentrix aids in enhancing the efficacy of the antibiotic. The block cannot be cleared right away.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
