i had a severe adverse reaction from Voltarin. I gained 75 lbs from edema. I became anemic and needed blood transfusions. my temperature would spike from normal to 105* within minutes which resulted in me having seizures. Should I avoid all NSAIDS ??

Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your doubts

If Volteran use caused sudden hypersensitivity reaction then this should be evaluated. Volteran is Diclofenac sodium and is relatively safer drug. The drug is a NSAID drug. You should avoid other NSAID drugs too like Aspirin, Mefanamic acid etc.

For analgesia and fever you can use Paracetamol or Acetaminophen. Celcoxib, Etoricoxib can also be used. Talk with your doctor before using any pain killer.

Thanks and Take care
