Does Montek LC And HIFENAC Cure Cough And Throat Infection?

I am from India but currently in UK. I am having throat infection and now cough is also started. I am carrying Montek LC and HIFENAC from India. Should I go ahead and start course of these? If not, can anybody suggest what I can get better in UK pharmacy shops?

Hi I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Thank you for posting in HCM.
Hifenac is actually an NSAID that can be used mostly for pain, whereas Montek LC is used in Asthma as it contains montelukast.
I suggest, if suffering from fever one should use two tablets of paracetamol 500mg orally, along with Tab Co-amoxiclav 500/125mg thrice daily for 5 days, Gargle with very little amount of salt in warm water thrice a day alternatively use diluted Listerine, avoid the use of cold beverages and oily food for a while.
