Does Minoxidil Cause Excessive Hair Loss?

Hello, I have layers of bald spatches i used minoxidil 6 months ago my hairfall stopped but after 4 months of stopping minoxidil i went through excessive hairfall was it due to minoxidil stoppage? I went to a doctor he prescribed me Refolia, novophane tablts and lime and macadamia shampoo (The skin) products he also prescribed fenasteride 1mg i don t want to take fenasteride i stopped minoxidil due to side effects. Fenasteride is having side effects too. I want to ask if i don t take fenasteride tblts will refoila and others tablets work to recover my hairs that i lossed after minoxidil.

The fact remains that the hair loss is due to minoxidil stopping.
It is usually categorically mentioned on drug pamphlet that on stopping minoxidil there is a hair loss.
This hair loss is usually maximum in the first 3 months after stopping.
Second, finasteride 1 mg is usually effective, especially with minoxidil.
However, if you do not want to take it, its fine. Just let your treating doctor know on the follow up visit.
As for the effect of the remaining medicines, the action will be less significant.
I have tried to answer it as simply as possible.
