Does Meloxicam Help Treat Knee Arthritis?

I have been prescribed meloxicam for knee arthritis. because of the side effect of water retention, I was prescribed Lasix at the same time. This combination has caused severe stomach discomfort. As an alternative, I was prescribed Celecoxib. Is Edma one of it s side effects?

Thanks for your question,
Meloxicam is a good option for osteoarthritis in addition to glucosamine containing pills twice daily.
About the oedema it is mostly knee effusion from the osteoarthritis not drug side effect.
About the gastric upset I advice to receive PPI drug as pantoprazol 20 mg twice daily before meals.

Note: For further queries, consult a joint and bone specialist, an Orthopaedic surgeon. Book a Call now.
