Hello,
Signs of the
Marfan syndrome include:
Long arms, legs and fingers, tall and thin body type, curved spine, chest sinks in or sticks out, flexible joints, flat feet, crowded teeth,
stretch marks on the skin that are not related to weight gain.
Major criteria can include:
An enlarged aorta, a tear in the aorta, dislocation of the lens of the eye, a family history of the syndrome, at least four skeletal problems, such as flat feet or curved spine (
scoliosis) enlargement of the lining that surrounds part of the
spinal cord (dural ectasia).
Before you suppose any diagnosis in your mind have a consult with your doctor because self-diagnosis might cause you
anxiety meantime you do not seem to have the Marfan syndrome.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Suzana Zharri, General & Family Physician
