My 17 year old daughter started taking lyrica about 6 months ago. She started with 25mg before bed and over time gradually increased to 100mg nightly. While it s never really helped with the pain, it did help with her sleep problems. However, I would say that since she started the 75mg and then the 100mg dose, she has become extremely irritable, angry and completely lost interest in school. She went from A s and B s in what were mostly AP classes, to D s and F s. she is in real jeopardy of not graduating and doesn t seem to care. She actually says she s fine just living in her car. She s received several acceptance letters to college and after thinking it was perhaps a burnout phase, I m actually thinking this could be the lyrica because it s so out of character. We have an appointment with her DR in a couple weeks, but really I want to get her off of this. What would be the best method? I m already thinking she hasn t been taking it as regularly as she was supposed to because she s been complaining of severe headaches and gi issues.
