Does Levothyroxine Cause False Positive Urine Drug Test Result?
My husband has a history of anaplastic thyroid cancer and thankfully is doing well. Today he failed a urine drug test, it was positive for amphetamines. His prescriptions include levothyroxine 100mcg daily, ranitidine 150mg BID, and lidocaine spray orally prn, ibuprofen 400mg prn, and tylenol prn. Could any of these meds cause the false positive result he got today.

Levothyroxine has got no relation with an Amphetamine test. It may be due to something else you had taken unknowingly. You can repeat the test after one week.
