Does Hydralazine Cause Irritation On The Tongue?

My tongue has been irritated for weeks now. It gets red, toothpaste makes it burn and everything I Eat does not taste as it should. I am thinking it is because of my new med. Hydrazaline for blood pressure. COuld this be the reason my tongue is so irritated?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
Hydralazine does not have any direct action on tongue... but it can cause constipation, which can result in tongue ulcers giving you all the trouble.
You can-
- Apply boroglyccerine/tess ointment to tongue lesions.
-Eat lot of vegetables, salads, fruits with skins on.Drink lot of water (12 glasses in a day) ,do regularexercises OR take some stool softner at bed time
-You can reconsult your treating doctor for alterationin dosage or medicine .
Thanks
