General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
What problem you are facing related to insomnia is due to psychological cause rather than physical cause.
It would be advisable to avoid medications as these would make you dependent and it may prove to be ineffective later on. It appears that already you have tried certain amount of such drugs to induce sleep.
Kindly practice certain things which should help you to get good sleep on its own rather than dependent on medications to do it.
1. Consume curd rice in a little more quantity than usual.
2. Drink a glass of warm milk at bedtime.
3. Do not smoke or consume alcohol. Avoid stimulant drinks like coffee or tea.
4. Practice meditation techniques to keep your mind healthy and stress free.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
