But since the liver enzymes are elevated for the first time it is needed to take into consideration other causes as well. Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation for your father. Repeat the liver function tests and also go for detailed investigations to find out the type of liver disease, Ultrasonography of abdomen along with clinical evaluation by a Doctor.
