Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
does clotrimazole cause stomach aches? If so, is it normal for that to happen? I've used the cream with the applicator for two nights now to treat a possible yeast infection, and both times I noticed my stomach really hurts (btw I'm 16 and my mom suggested using the clotrimazole)

General & Family Physician, Dr. Amarnath's Response
welcome to hcm, clotrimazole when used as a local application is less likely to cause stomach aches but the yeast infection by itself can cause stomach aches. but when this antifungal is used as a tablet, it can cause stomach ache. local application of cotrrimaxazole usually doesnot cause stomach aches. hope this explains With regards Dr.Amarnath
Thankyou for the Question Yes Clotrimazole can causes stomach ache, but if taken oraly. As you have used only tropically so most probably you should rule out other causes of stomach ache,e.g eating outside, anxiety, stress etc Surely my answer will be helpfull regards, Dr.Maheshwari
