Does Bender Syrup Have Any Side Effects?

Hi, my baby is 2 yr old and he has worms in stomach . Some body suggest me to give bender syrup for worms but I read the side effects of this medicine . I m little bit comfused about that. I m very much worried about my son he is not eaten food properly and he is week .

Hello,

First, should make sure that your 2 yr old is having stomach worms for real. So, should run a microscopic examination of stool for ova/parasites (3 consecutive days-bowel movements).

Then can treat it as per lab results comparing with the clinical presentation of your baby.

I think the right name of the syrup suggested is Zentel (albendazole). Yes, we can prescribe it but after making sure your baby is having worms.
