Does Beconase Ease Sore Throat?

i have had a cough and a sore throat for about a week now and am finding it hard to swallow. I went to the doctor today and she gave me beconase nasal spray, but i am not having trouble with my nose or do not suffer from hay fever. Will the beconase ease my sore throat?

Hi, thanks for your query.
Beclonase is a steroid nasal spray.
It helps in allergic rhinitis.
Your sore throat looks like you might be having throat infection. For this Beclonase won't help.
If I were your treating doctor, I would have prescribed penicillin antibiotics + anti inflammatory medicines for 5 to 7 days.
Empirically you can take anti inflammatory medicines like paracetamol + diclofenac combination drugs twice daily for 3 days.
If symptoms persists, then please consult with your doctor and get treated. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
