General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Digoxin is a drug which is used to treat congestive heart failure. Amiodarone is an antiarrhythmic medication used to treat and prevent a number of types of irregular heartbeats. Digoxin and amiodarone are medications that are commonly used in patients with heart failure and arrhythmias. There is a potential for serious interaction and hence regular monitoring by your doctor necessary or alternate medication may need to be prescribed. The co-administration of amiodarone and digoxin can increase the serum concentrations of digoxin and the risk for digoxin toxicity as these drugs compete for the same pathway for excretion through the kidneys. Kindly consult your doctor regarding this matter and follow the advise.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
