Yesterday, as I was climbing up into a vehicle, my right knee popped. I instantly felt sick and broke into a cold sweat. For the next 3-5 minutes I felt dizzy and like I might vomit. When I got home about 45 minutes later I put ice on the knee - 20 mins on / 20 mins off and repeated three to four times. Today the knee is swollen and is hot to the touch. Movement in water helped. It is most comfortable straight. Bending is uncomfortable, but does not cause sharp pain. The pain, when I have it is a 4-5 on the scale of 1-10. I m pretty sure I need to see an orthopedic surgeon/specialist. My question is, do I make the appointment immediately (tomorrow) or should I wait for a few days until the swelling goes down. I am hoping I may be able to let the joint rest, then start rehab in a few days.
