Do Iron Injections Cause Any Side Effects?
Hi, I am 29 weeks pregnant and now my hb count is 8.7. Doctor suggested to take 2 iron tablet per day . And if hb count doesn t get any improvement after 15 days, doctor suggested to have Iron Injection. Kindly suggest from your end whether taking iron injection will lead to any side effects in future.

iron is safe for you. you just are supposed to feel some mild gastric irritation but there's no big deal. make sure you do not consume antacids. it would interfere with iron absorption.
