Do Delayed Periods By 4 Days On Taking Nordette Preceded By Light Bleeding For 2 Days 6 Days Before Indicate Pregnancy?

Hi. Last December, I used 4 pieces of nordette but i forgot to take the 4 other pills after 12 hours and managed to take them an hour late. Now, i'm 4 days delayed on my period. 6 days before, I had light bleeding for two days. Does that mean i'm pregnant?

Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.

Delay in taking nordette by an hour does not make a huge difference as the first dose has already started its effect. The delay in periods may be due to nordette or pregnancy but chances of pregnancy are very very low after nordette.
Same can be said about the light bleeding 6 days ago. But after taking nordette the bleeding is more likely due to nordette than pregnancy.

The best way to rule out a pregnancy is get a urine test done 7-10 days after the missed period. If it is negative, there is no pregnancy.
Have a good day.
