Do Back Pain And Frequent Urination Suggest Kidney Infection?

about 10 days ago, I seemed to have the classic signs of a kidney infection. the back pain and the frequent urination with little turnout. A friend gave me AZO. that helped a lot. went through fever and sweats few times, food tasted really bad, so no appetite really. my stomach has shrunk now and if I eat more than approx a cup of food, I am in pain for over-eating. tonight, I think I might have stumbled on why food tastes so bad, salty stuff is so salty, might as well pour the shaker in or sugar sweet the same way, there are no taste buds in the middle of my tongue. it is just slick. what could cause that?
