Do SNRI Medications Affect The Blood Sugar Levels?

Recently I started on an SNRI. Twice, around noon I started to get very dizzy and thought I was going to black out. The whole world looked different. Can these meds affect blood sugar levels? It wasw a strange and scary experience. Viibryd is the medication and I m reading online about really bizzare side effects from it. Any input?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, you need to stop the SNRI and consult the prescribing physician as it can be direct side effects of the SNRI and also get thoroughly examined to rule out any signs of serotonin syndrome or neuroleptic symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
