Do I Need To Check For Clots As I Hit My Head?

I was putting my eye drops in with my head tilted back and apparently blacked out, fell back and hit the back of my head onmy tile floor, I felt a little nauseaous at first, that passed now I have a golf ball size bump, very little bleeding, lots of pain. I took a couple aspirins. Do I need to check for clots or anurisms ?

Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal, MD.

Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query

I think an MRI of the brain would be appropriate. The reason is not just for the swelling at the back of your head, but also to know if there is anything going wrong in the brain, one is not supposed to faint just by looking back you see.

So I suggest you let us know the report of the MRI as soon as possible

I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above/if any other so I can be of help further.

I have given you the answer to the maximum considering the information provided. The results of the tests could further enhance my answer to you.

Please do understand that some details could be extracted from a detailed history and examination.

Please feel free to ask another query. I would be glad to help you. Looking forward to your return query with the details asked so that I can help you further.
(If the answer has helped you, please indicate this)
Best of luck.
