Do Abilify And Tenex Reduce The Understanding Capacity In Children Suffering With ADHD?
Yes my Granddaughter who has Downs Syndrome and is 6 yrs old has recently within the last year and half been put on Meds for ADHD and the Doctor put her on Abilify. tenex and Clonidine and she also takes singular for Asthma. She was hyper a little bit before this but now she has become a holy terror where she is unruly disrespectful will not sit still and very very aggressive even towards us and we do not know what to do? I told my wife to take her off everything but Clonidine since they said you have to wean her off this med. Have you all heard of Meds making children completely unruly and its like she has no control and will run from you and we are scared for her and do not know what to do? Please help....
If you think that there is something wrong with her I strongly suggest you to talk with her treating doctor because it might be a side effect of her current medications.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
