Discomfort In Penis Shaft, Bacterial Test Negative. Practicing Safe Sex. Semen Having Gritty Look. Should Be Concerned?

several months ago I had an encounter with a female after just meeting her. After she left I felt some discomfort in the shaft of my penis. I seen a Dr. a few weeks after and had bacterial and antibacterial test done and results were negative of any diseases. I have been practicing safe sex or just masturbating lately for the relief after a recent session of masturbating I noticed that some of the semen was clear and some had a real gritty look and feel to it. Should I be concerned with this since the above test were negative? Thank you

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

If you have had a sexual intercourse months ago and got tests done which were negative then there is no need to worry. You have not mentioned the tests in detail but I assume that you got VDRL tests done. If you are having only discomfort in shaft, it needs to be examined clinically. An ultrasound Doppler may be done to evaluate the penis for any plaque formation which can cause abnormal feeling of the shaft.

If there is no external skin changes or symptoms like pain, itching, blister formation and burning during passing urine, it is unlikely to be an infection.

I would suggest you to consult a doctor and get clinically examined. Ultrasound Doppler may be done if felt necessary.

Hope this helps
